Another important milestone was reached during the design contest for the new Hungarian Museum of Transport. We had the pleasure to welcome the representatives of the 15 successful Hungarian and world-renowned international architects participating in the design contest at the Northern Maintenance Depot in Kőbánya.
During the site visits this week, the architects could get a direct, personal impression of the so-called Diesel Hall and its surroundings. The transformation of these buildings is the subject of the competition. For the event the museum prepared a small exhibition to illustrate the dimensions of the objects in the collection, while the experts of the project presented the history, the context, the present situation and the future possibilities of the site, the surroundings and the city of Budapest.
